The meaning
of the logo
This logo is inspired by the Sikassaka, a traditional
musical instrument which accompanies the Konde to produce the distinctive
rhythms of Djecka music in the Bissa region of Burkina Faso.
The logo shows the round Sikassaka, made from a gourd.
On top, its hole is covered securely with a finely cut lid, and tied by
two strings. These strings, which run from the left of the instrument
to the infinite space beyond the star on the top-right, signify that although
Djecka comes from different parts of the Bissa region, it is now ready
to move "beyond the stars". It is a style of music without boundaries. |
